Jennifer K. Lloyd is an associate at Weiss-Kunz & Oliver, LLC. She focuses her practice on complex financial and custody issues. She joined Weiss-Kunz & Oliver in 2023 after practicing at the accounting firm PwC where she learned the innerworkings of taxation and the monetary impacts of asset acquisition and divestitures. Prior to her private law experience, she worked in the public sector as a prosecutor for the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office where she encountered various high conflict cases, including those involving domestic violence. Jennifer’s background and variety of experience bodes her well in the sensitive practice of family law. Through her work and experience, Jennifer learned how to navigate sensitive situations between intimate partners. Jennifer does all she can to understand and relentlessly advocate for her clients’ needs.

Having been a child of divorce herself, Jennifer feels she has a unique perspective on divorce cases and the impact that family law cases can have on families. Jennifer empathizes with the sensitivity of the family law process, and wants to ensure her clients feel well informed and supported during some of their most difficult days.

Jennifer received two Bachelor of Arts degrees from Loyola University Chicago in Global and International Studies and Political Science. Additionally, Jennifer received two minors in Psychology & Justice and Spanish. During her undergraduate career, she cultivated her analytical skills and ability to understand complex political, societal, and emotional problems, while learning about the ways in which culture, societal norms, and values shape the way people navigate challenges. Jennifer’s studies strengthened her ability to communicate and work with people of all walks of life.

In law school, Jennifer attended the University of Illinois Chicago (UIC) College of Law where she obtained her Juris Doctor. While in law school, Jennifer acted as the Lead Articles Editor on the prestigious Review of Intellectual Property Law Journal; additionally, she was one of twelve members of the elite Dean’s Leadership Academy. As a result, she is a skilled writer; a skill that continues to bode her well in practice as a family law attorney.

In her free time, Jennifer enjoys going to the theater, trying new restaurants, and spending time with her large family.
